There are going to be people who love you for you. Who celebrate exactly who, what, and where you are in life. There have been so many different points where I have pretended to be someone I wasn’t, and not to be deceitful but because I wanted to be accepted and loved and celebrated. It would feel like I was never quite enough or that I had to “perform” to be accepted.

I’ve been thinking a lot about how grateful I am for who I’m surrounded by right now. My relationship, wow. He has genuinely seen me at some of my worst points: overwhelmed, stressed, angry, empty, and I have still been loved through all of those low days. A job that has had so much grace and patience with me learning new things. Re iterating to me that they believe in me and who I am, and that my skill will only grow. A community of women that I can ask for prayer, new friends that feel like old ones (yes looking at you sheiswylde + jasminemariefilms) friends that have been there through it all (nicolebalsamophoto, dakotaadan, vanessacurry, dancing.for.donuts) And of course my family, the pillars who unconditionally love every piece of who I am.

I just wanted to say it takes time. It takes heartbreak. It takes loss. It takes getting betrayed. It takes a lot sometimes to find good people, but wow is it worth it. I have never felt more drenched in love and encouragement than I do right now. It’s worth showing up exactly as you are because what’s true in the light is still true in the dark and that’s when we need people the most. There are a whole group of friends and people and community that can’t wait to meet you, for exactly who God made you to be.🦋🤎
