🌀 There's a hurricane coming! Have you heard about all the tires damaging coral reefs off the coast of Florida with each major storm? Osborne Reef was a coral restoration project that tried to build the world’s longest artificial reef using millions of old passenger car tires. Unfortunately, the project failed and loose tires have been migrating across the seafloor since the 1970s. Powerful ocean currents and intense storms like hurricanes turn these tires into wrecking balls and projectiles that rip through our coral reefs and destroy everything in their path. Our professional dive crew is working below the ocean’s surface to help recover these tires and protect our coral reefs.
