Yesterday is known as one of the dirtiest beach days in the U.S.
Thousands of pounds of litter is left behind by beachgoers celebrating the 4th of July around the nation.
Yesterday morning our cleanup crew in Florida paid a visit to Deerfield Beach only to find a plethora of trash left behind from the previous day's celebration. Within just 3 hours, our crew recovered around 470 pounds of trash. Most of which was "party trash" such as alcohol bottles and plastic cups.
Don't get us wrong, we love a good celebration, but do you really need to leave litter behind to celebrate? Celebrate responsibly and sustainably for the sake of a cleaner ocean.
