What's left of this coral reef in Florida is being damaged by THESE TIRES!
In the 1970's, millions of tires were dumped off the coast of Fort Lauderdale in an effort to create an artificial reef. Over time, the steel clips and nylon straps holding the tires corroded and cracked, allowing loose tires to migrate vast distances across the ocean floor. This caused the well-intentioned project to ultimately fail.
