Tires in the ocean pose a huge threat for many reasons, including the fact that they easily shed microplastics (which can be ingested by marine life). They can also cause damage to coral reefs when carried by the current.
We've recently introduced you to our newest cleanup operation.. The Osborne Reef Tire Cleanup, where we're diving down off the coast of Florida to recover thousands of tires that were dumped in the 1970's.
But Florida isn't the only place where tires exist as ocean pollution! Our professional cleanup crews find tires during cleanup missions all around the world.
