ICYMI: We recently introduced our new BeBot, a beach cleaning robot!
Our crew has received a few questions from the clean ocean movement about this new groundbreaking clean ocean technology, so we thought we'd share some FAQs and our answers below ⬇️
1. Will this machine cause harm to wildlife in the sand, such as crabs and turtle nests?
➡️ The BeBot was strategically designed to clean the top 10cm of a beach in order to avoid any marine life. It's controlled by our team, so we can avoid any environmentally sensitive areas or hazards, such as nests. In addition, it's exceptionally lightweight for a sifting vehicle, and is able to operate while applying exceptionally low pressure on the sand. Its unique tracks allow the BeBot to equally distribute the pressure applied on the sand with a sinking level that is 3 to 5 times lower than a traditional vehicle of the same weight. Any living things smaller than the sifter mesh size will simply fall back into the sand without harm. If any critters do make their way through the sifter and into the collection bin, they can be easily removed by hand and safely returned to the environment by our crew member.
2. How can I acquire one of these machines for my local beach?
➡️ Visit the link in our bio, select 'Bebot - The Beach Cleaning Robot', fill out the 'Contact us' form on that webpage, then one of our crew members will get in touch with you shortly.
3. What is this machine made of?
➡️ The BeBot is designed using many different materials to sustain coastal conditions, including metal, rubber, plastic and glass.
