As part of our efforts to learn more about the Hawaiian Islands and the effects of plastic pollution, we're committed to supporting cleanup and community outreach initiatives that already exist on the islands.
Over the last decade, Sustainable Coastlines Hawaii has used their hands-in-the-sand philosophy to mobilize nearly 35,000 volunteers who have cleared more than half a million pounds of trash from Hawai'i’s coastlines.
Our donation will be used to support marine debris recovery, specifically in areas of Hawaii where hawksbill sea turtles live, feed, and nest. With so few of these animals left in the world, it’s crucial that we save as many hawksbills as possible. 🐢
