Jembrana’s Operational Manager, Muhammed Imron Rosidi, created a manual trash sweeper that he was inspired to create after watching shrimp fisherman in his local community.
Since there is no playbook for cleaning the ocean, our captains and crews often have to get creative and find new ways to effectively recover ocean plastic. We couldn't be more proud of the epic work done by Imron!
And don't worry, the safety of marine life is always our top priority so our cleanup crews are constantly monitoring the sweeper to ensure no marine life is captured.
