This month we’re partnering with the @IndonesianMantaProject to advance manta ray conservation by funding crucial long-term research that will guide the creation and enforcement of policies that protect these gentle giants.
Their work is vital as manta ray populations have declined by nearly 80% over the last 90 years. This rapid decline has changed their conservation status from vulnerable to endangered. Without ongoing efforts to clean the ocean and protect manta rays, populations will continue to decline.
