Before ➡️ After
Team Haiti recently recovered over 1,774 pounds of trash from this coastline off Cabaret!
One question we get a lot is, "Where does all of this trash come from?"
Well, Haiti is considered a high-impact area, meaning the island's geographic location makes it an easy target for ocean currents and winds that carry trash from neighboring islands in the Caribbean.
So while some of the trash you're seeing does come from Haiti, it's important to remember that not everything necessarily comes from Haiti.
It could have even been carried from the shores of your home country, which is why it's vital to fight this crisis regardless of where you're located around the world 🌍
