Our crews rescued a Sea Turtle! 🐢⠀
⠀
This is one of the many reasons why we're so dedicated to ending the ocean plastic crisis. ⠀
⠀
Our cleanup crews in Bali recently came across this Hawksbill Sea Turtle while tackling a huge patch of trash within the Pebuahan Ocean off the coast of Jembrana. ⠀
⠀
Our crews were able to rescue the turtle from the large patch of trash and release it back into the ocean and away from any patches of trash.⠀
⠀
Plastic pollution is a HUGE threat to sea turtles as plastic bags look like jellyfish and fishing nets look like seaweed, both staple foods in a sea turtle's diet. ⠀
⠀
In fact, it's estimated that nearly 100% of sea turtles will ingest plastic at some point in their life.⠀
⠀
Save the turtles and refuse single-use plastic!⠀
