This particular beach is on the Southwest side of Bali. It's estimated that approximately 8 million tons of plastic end up in the oceans every single year and yet, we are often asked if cleaning the beaches really helps.
The answer is yes. Cleaning the beaches and coastlines has several positive effects such as restoring ecosystems, protecting marine life from entanglement, protecting marine life from ingestion, raising awareness about ocean plastic pollution, boosting local economies, protecting locals from injury, and inspiring more people and organizations to take action.
