Single-use plastic has not only been found in the deepest depths of the ocean but also on some of the highest mountain peaks. ⠀

In order to combat this, officials in the Mount Everest region have placed a ban on single-use plastic. This ban went into effect in January 2020 and covers all plastics less than 30 microns in thickness, including plastic bags, straws, soda and water bottles, and most food packaging. ⠀

The first step to a healthier planet is refusing single-use plastic. ⠀
