Do #corals eat microplastics? A study was conducted and microplastics were found in coral polyps’ mouths but were trapped in mesenterial tissue which is a membranous layer within the stomach cavity. These tissues are responsible for digestion and may be negatively affected by microplastics. Plastic not only affects us but also marine life. #OceanConservation #BanThePlastic 📷 : @daviddiez
