Marine debris and destructive fishing threaten one of the ocean's most vibrant habitats. The Coral Triangle, located in the Western Pacific Ocean, is home to 600 species of coral, over 2,000 species of reef fish, and all kinds of large marine animals. Marine plastic is a threat to all forms of life in the habitat as it can settle on the ocean floor and animals can ingest it. Meanwhile, the current methods of harvesting fish is also a significant threat. There are reports of fisherman using dynamite and cyanide to stun and capture vast amounts of fish in a short amount of time.
