The temperature of a sea turtle nest determines the sex of the hatchlings. Temperatures below 81.86℉ will result in male hatchlings and temperatures above 87.8℉ will result in female hatchlings, while fluctuation in temperature will result in a mix of sexes. As the climate gets warmer and warmer, the number of all female nests is rising. When it gets hot enough, the eggs won't hatch altogether. By partnering with the Florida Atlantic University® Marine Research Lab, we can clean our oceans and coastlines, where sea turtles nest, while they work to increase the number of sea turtles in the wild. #4Ocean #SeaTurtles #OceanConservation
