#TrashTalkTuesday Did you know that 80% of the trash in our ocean comes from land-based sources? 👎 Not all of this is intentional; however, trash can reach the ocean from a number of sources. When a person litters on the street or parking lot the wind or rain can move that trash into storm drains that empty out into rivers, streams, and other bodies of water. These rivers and streams can eventually carry the trash out to the ocean. Take the extra step to make sure you are properly disposing of your waste. This means that if the nearest trash can to you is overflowing, walk to another one that is emptier to throw out your trash. And always recycle when you can! ♻️ #4Ocean #Recycle #DoYourPart
