Before starting the Beach Clean Up activity, intern students from FISIP UINSA took part in an introduction and briefing session with the 4OCEAN Beach Team. Pak Hazin, one of the team members, led the session and provided direction and an overview of 4OCEAN's mission and vision as well as the operational costs of the 4OCEAN office in Bali which reached around 400 million rupiah per month. Then at 09.30, the beach cleaning session began, led by Mr. Syakirin as head of the Beach Team. The team members, including FISIP UINSA intern students, spread out to various points on the beach to pick up non-organic waste. In an hour and a half, they managed to collect more than 10 kilograms of rubbish consisting of various objects such as dolls, sandals, glass bottles, sacks, plastic packaging, snack packaging, styrofoam, and so on.
