"At Milk, Chromat’s ‘Bionic Bodies’ range was all about humanoids having trysts. There were chromatic armored bras, gladiatorial references, sheer fabrics with cool cut-outs and futuristic femmes fatales strewn with LEDs. i-D spoke to designer Becca McCharen backstage, and learnt that the collection “tells a story of a love affair between a human and a robotic being.” Think Bladerunner meets Helmut Newton; a smattering of Victorianism and serious cybernetic embellishments.
