We are extremely excited to announce Carleen Mathews as our newest addition to the FNX FAM! Carleen is an amazing athlete whom has been to the games 3 consecutive times as an individual (15,16,17’). This past year she stormed to first place in the Northwest Regional but then had to withdraw from the CrossFit Games after just 2 events due to a pain in her back and arm that she would later find out stemmed from a bulged C6/7. She has recovered from the injury and is back to the grind to chase 2018! Carleen is extraordinary though not because of her athleticism but because of THAT ability to overcome. She has a past of alcohol and drug abuse which she confronted head on with the help of others and finding CrossFit. She owns an Affiliate called CrossFit Saint Helens in Oregon where she fosters an inclusive community welcome to all.
