I hesitated to post this last week because my post-partum pooch is something I’m still self-conscious about. It’s a constant process you guys! ? My previous postpartum’s I kind of just hid my belly as much as possible until my abs came back and my belly was flat(ter) again. But, I REALLY want women to see that postpartum is different for everyone and THAT IS OKAY. Some of us end up with abdominal separation ??♀️, some prolapse, some episiotomies, c-sections, pp depression, or all of the above and in between and the healing process can be visible or non-visible or HARD AS HELL, or fairly easy. It’s all SO different and there is no way to really know how YOU will be affected. .

There are things you CAN control, and things you just can’t. That applies to pregnancy, birth AND postpartum. Is it hard to process at times and frustrating to see your body in a state you aren’t used to? YES. Is it worth it and would you do it 100 times over to have your baby? For me, YES. .

So here I am, for the third time (four babies later) doing things with EXTRA effort so I can retrain my body and mind again to respond and heal. Do I still have abs that pooch out at two months postpartum? Yep. Does it bother me? Yeah, it does. Do I love my body or myself any less because of it? No. ??

Sooooo...I figure, why not share it? If it helps anyone in this journey, then it’s worth it. ☺️Have a great week you guys! And remember that you aren’t alone! Whatever it is you are experiencing, it’s very likely someone else is too. Let’s share, lean and grow together. ???
