Stopped by my alma mater yesterday to speak with the students in the interior design program about my business. At the beginning of this year, I promised myself that this would be my year of yes. So when I was asked to be a part of the alumni event I agreed right away. I’ve taken a wild path and have accomplished some cool things but did I mention my crippling fear of speaking in public? I was determined not to let the anxiety win. At the end of my presentation one of the students asked, “what advice would you give yourself starting out knowing where you ended up?” My answer was this, “Have the courage to take the opportunities that come your way.” Sometimes we need to take our own advice.
