Women in the U.S. have a "1 in 8” (or about 12 percent) lifetime risk of getting breast cancer. This means that for every 8 women in the U.S., 1 will be diagnosed with breast cancer during her lifetime. 40 years ago, that number was 1 in 20.37.
I am so proud to work together with @Beautycounter and our partners, Breast Cancer Prevention Partners (@BCPPartners) and @Keepabreast helping educate women about safer options and steps to take for prevention. When you know better, you can do better. We need to stop this, terrible disease before it even starts.
