We're raising a glass! By packaging Countertime collection in glass instead of plastic we will reduce the line's greenhouse gas footprint by an estimated 38%. By 2020, we are changing over our other skincare collections to glass as well. Glass is recycled more easily than plastic and does not emit harmful materials as it degrades—which plastic does. We did the math and found that across energy, water, and waste, it was more sustainable to put Countertime in glass. We source our glass containers from North America, which means fewer greenhouse gas emissions from shipping products across the ocean. “In order to be successful in business and in our social mission, we have to reject the short-term thinking that got all of us into the current environmental crisis. " Beautycounter has also partnered with How2Recycle to include instructions for disposing of each product with details on all the boxes for Countertime. At @Beautycounter safety for you AND the environment is everything.
