This morning we sit together waiting to speak to an attorney. I woke up yesterday, got my morning coffee, checked emails and onto IG I went. I viewed a post that scared and concerned me. I went on to confirm that what I was hearing was true. The tears and the Nausea and the fits of anger didn't stop for quite sometime for both us us. I typically try to steer clear in politics. But this isn't politics, this is just fucking disgusting. My first thought selfishly went to my best friend and I quickly got on the phone with her to assure her i wouldn't allow anything to happen to her, no matter the cost. She is a role model to me in every way. She works 3 jobs, is an actual single mother, has the biggest heart imaginable, pays her fucking taxes, raises her son in love and never hate. She's everything I could ever wish for in a friendship and 6 years strong. Then I quickly realized, unselfishly, that not only would this country be losing her, they would be losing over 800,000 of her. 800,000 mothers, daughters, sons. Taking jobs? Fuck you. I can assure you that there are 800,000 lazy "American born" citizens out there that won't step up to the plate and then what? Imagine knowing no other world and then being snapped from it. No, I will not stand by and watch that happen. Human beings. We are human beings. And somehow along the way people have lost sight of that and become caught up in the things that don't count. What counts is heart, what counts is "family" staying together, what counts is friendship, love, compassion. What counts is realizing that we are all human beings. Someone said to me a few weeks back "America will be great again, but because he brought us together because he couldn't divide us." So I beg all of you to imagine, look at your child and imagine... and please for the love of love... come together. Not only will I not let this happen to her, I won't let this happen to any "dreamer", because we are all one, one human race, and because I want 800,000 Nubia's to stay. I can't imagine a world without her, and I can't imagine to know what she must be feeling right now..
