A week in the life of my grown ass baby boy. ? I remember the first couple days, and one day in specific. Back to the days when he was too terrified to eat even a piece of bacon, or let someone touch him. The first week he let me hold him because he was literally paralyzed in fear. "Pancaked" its called. After that it took me one year and two months to lay a hand on him. And another year after that for him to not be mortified of the front door, and what layed beyond it. The world. And now he's discovering it all thanks to #TeamTonka ❤️?? I stuck my head in his safety "nook" that first week and said "don't worry, we're gonna get through this." People always say I have tremendous patience, but that's absolutely not true. This was all tonkas patience. I just know what it feels like to trust again, and love again. And I know unconditional love is the greatest healer of all. I'm by no means a pro dog Mom. My pups will testify to that.
