Someone near and dear to me has the greatest relationship with his wife. He describes love to me as two trees growing in a forest side by side. Each tree helps the other with shade, strength, etc. but they do not lean on each other or the other breaks. Instead they encourage each others growth. Every anniversary he and his wife say "I choose you", instead of "Happy anniversary" I just love that. When they honeymooned (I think about 40 years ago), they each went their separate ways for the length of their honeymoon, to enjoy their independence and individuality before embarking on their life together.
