Unforgettable, Alabama. ? The last time my bama went to a vet, they came running from the back room asking me for help. She had scaled to the top of their medicine cabinet, broken vials along the way, and was now proudly shitting on them from the top of a 6 foot cabinet. ❤️ The vet, with her in mind, suggested it was too stressful for her to bring her back. She lost half the hair on her head the next day from stress. That's my Alabama, her way or no way. She has been declining and I have given her every possible natural medicine, ointment, aloe Vera juice, even fish antibiotics... I kept thinking I had figured it out.. Only to find out that she has been living with feline leukemia her entire life and only showing symptoms now. I was fighting a battle no one could win. She had tested false negative twice with her sister when they were babies. An incurable disease. What a brave little bug. She does not believe in snuggles, slaps Tonka if he gets in her way, and is an all around badass. Today she can barely stand and still tries to make it to the food bowl. I have to say goodbye to my bama later today... this is my 8th rescue I have had to say goodbye to. It never gets easier if anything only harder. But I find comfort in knowing that my little miracle lived past the average age of cats with this disease by 10 years. She is quite a little fighter and someone is coming to the home so her last memory is not at her dreaded vet. ? I can't seem to stop crying please send love her way. She's just the best.
