"Wabi Sabi" roughly translated - there are no mistakes. There is beauty in imperfection, which is really what Shibori is all about. This art is almost 5,000 years old... tonight I demonstrated both Kumo and Itajime techniques, this is my favorite piece I've done and largely in part to all of its "wabi sabi" . Such a beautiful reminder in life as well - things don't need to be perfect or controlled to be beautiful. ? So blown away by my students BEAUTIFUL kumo pieces!!! #LulaSchool
