Happy Birthday LULA! ??? Today Lula Mae would have been 137 years old. We like to celebrate each year (actually every 4, poor leap year baby) with a birthday sale. So now through Sunday March 6th you can take 20% off your purchase! Lula was born in Kingsville Ranch, TX in 1879 to Gerard Whitfield & Alabama Brown. Her Mamma, Alabama, passed giving birth to her. She went on to raise 5 beautiful children, and two of her grandchildren (one being my grandma Charlene) as her own. She was a badass to say the least. She'd tell my gramma not to date "Casper milk toasts" (pussys haha), she'd chase people off the property with a shotgun and a one liner "I'll see you later if the devil has no objection". She also had a heart of gold and a sunny disposition - which helped her family get through some very tough times. She was fancy ? and lived a long life, passing away in 1968. Happy birthday Lula!
