A morbid but beautiful history on Valentine's Day. ❤️ In 248 AD, a Roman priest was wedding Christian couples outside of the Catholic Church. He was sentenced to be beheaded. While in jail he fell in love with the jailers daughter. His execution was set for February 14th. On that day he woke and wrote her a love letter, his final goodbye. He signed it - "Love Your Valentine". So you see, Valentine's Day is not a Hallmark holiday. It's a day to celebrate love, and the freedom we have to love whoever the fuck we please.
