Many moons ago Old Pasadena was set for demolition, a group of 3 men/property owners came together and had a vision that it would be a retail/gourmet destination and fought for that vision. Mr. Plotkin (my former landlord) was one of those men. Before he passed away, Jim would have his wife drive by Lula Mae for a hug some days after chemo. He would say we had matching tattoos because of the markers. ❤️ He loved Lula,
And we loved him. His pic still stays at the shop so he can continue to watch over one of the businesses that he made possible. Any who, I was just walking past the alley dedicated to him before he passed, and felt inspired to share a little history. Just shows you what can be accomplished when you have a vision you don't give up on. ?
