My mom and I were talking a while back about love. ❤️ I was telling her that I think it's interesting how everyone thinks they are such a master on the subject. You don't sit across from a friend and tell them why they couldn't possibly be happy, when they say that they are. You don't argue someone's need to feel sad over a subject. But for some reason people will try to tell you all about love, and how you couldn't possibly feel it unless it follows some type of strict guideline and rules. ❤️ Love should be the primary emotion you can't define for someone else. Love is from an individual level. We see a funny movie, most of us laugh in happiness. We see someone in pain, and most of us feel sadness. But love is something that's felt on an individual level. Stop trying to control, dictate, or explain why people should or should not feel. Stop trying to define a feeling that still can't be defined since the beginning of time. Love is a personal emotion that is different in each of us. If it was the same then we'd be in love with thousands instead of one. I've been in love once, and many tried to tell me that was an impossibility. ❤️ People will also shun at the thought of you loving yourself. Fuck them. I fall more in love with myself everyday, and learn to love and take care of myself more and more everyday. That's not cocky, that to me is what this life thing is all about. And I'm no good to anyone if I'm not all lovey dovey with my damn self. ❤️ Have a good day being you, and if anyone tries to tell you that being you isn't what's "right"... Feel empathy for them and get them out of your way. #MarciRant
