Late night but worth it to see this little man calm down on an actual bed. And not because he was trying to avoid 4th of July fireworks. He made it a couple of hours and snuggled away, but then panicked a bit. Every night when I go to sleep he lays in a bed by my window and gazes in at me from the puppy bed his gramma got him, all hopeful. So we gave it another try and tonight was his biggest success. I suppose we all hope to overcome fears, and Tonka is amazing at it. It's like reverse dog training. I get proud if he chews a slipper cause he's always been too afraid to be a puppy. I wouldn't kick this little man off a bed to save my life, I'm proud of whatever he jumps on right now. ❤️ Baby steps and patience and progress. I also put on a meditation CD for him, but that didn't do shit ? I hope I can say one day that I'm as brave in my life as he has been. And I hope I can learn to treat people as I treat him, no expectations as long as there's progression. Just letting him be who he is at his own pace. Tonka teaches me more than I teach him. ❤ #SweetBabyTonka #TeamTonka
