Throwback to my mom in 1987 or so. I'm feeling all lovey about my mom today. She's the original badass/Fancy Jackie. I remember when my dad called me to fly out to New York to meet her. They had only been dating 2 weeks. Sorry mom. ? up to that point I knew all the tricks to screw up dads dating attempts. Haha but from the moment I saw her I knew she was wifey and mom material for sure. I even let her pick a treasure from my treasure box when I got off the plane. The way I remember it she was in a long fur coat and had a halo over her head, but mom says that it was dead summer. No halo, no fur coat hahaa. My mom was the VP of JC Penny's Interior Design division at the wee age of 37, and living in Manhattan at the time. She was as fancy as she is today and toured with other fancys such as princess Di, and Ms. Sophia Loren. But then one day, only a few weeks later.. My dad pulled out a ring in the back of a New York taxi cab and said "will you marry us" ??. And from that moment on my mom became even fancier haha. She chose love over career. She tells me that the first time she took me to school her hands shook as she signed paperwork. I would not be here today without my mom, and my dads impeccable taste in women. ? She's the only person who never gave up on me and showed me what unconditional love is. She is the strongest, most selfless, caring, loving, giving, fancy woman I know. And there's never been a day in my life where I didn't think she was just as responsible, (if not more so) for my amazing life than my birth mom. One gave me life and one took me through it. I would not know what love is if it were not for her. ❤️ Have a good day mom, I think you're the bees knees. ?
