Jackasses and shotguns! That's the name of today's story. Flashback! That's Lula Mae's daughter, Lola on the Jackass. ? Lula Mae was my great great grandmother, and the beginning of a long line of firecracker women. Her mother, Alabama Brown... Passed away giving birth to Lula Mae's sister, Minnie Mae (Lula was 4). Sadly loosing mammas became a curse of sorts every other generation in my family. Lola also passed away when my grandma was 4. Lula raised my grandmother as her own. Lula Mae was a tough and equally loving woman. My grandma tells me tales of her chasing intruders off the front lawn with a shotgun yellin' "I'll see you later if the devil has no objections." History repeats itself, and my mamma passed away when I was 4. Lula Mae's great granddaughter, Irene. And history also repeated itself when my papa married the most amazing woman in the world, and she raised me as her own. I'm grateful to the blood I come from, but even more grateful to be loved by my badass mamma. Moral of the story is....nothing. ? I just like the picture of the donkey, and the fact that love heals everything. ❤️ And I guess it's a nice reminder to me that a good woman still knows when to chase dumb fucks out the way, maybe no shotgun though. ? But I am blowin' up your page! Haha haha #LulaMae
