MAJOR TONKA UPDATE. ?When I first found Tonka, my friend named him. He said cause Tonka trucks take a beating and keep on going. I'm probably not wording it as well, haha but it is the perfect name. ❤️ That's the true definition of baby Tonks. He did not give up on the concept of trusting, loving, and being loved. He fights with it everyday and is doing wonderfully at his own pace. He keeps going. ? I know many of you have been concerned about Tonka and the move. This should put your hearts at ease, as it did mine ( I'm getting tears just typing this) The beautiful gal pictured here is, Caitlin. Caitlin is a co-owner of @mixedmuttsrescue , you know.... The amazing rescue that saved little pig. Caitlin, her partner at the rescue, and their friend from the Humaine society have donated there time to Tonka. The three of them are coming here this weekend to help catch my baby. They think it's best that I am not here as he will get more anxiety from my concern. She also mentioned that he may "regress" in his trust for me if I am part of this. ? Fear based aggression is much worse than trained aggression... I have seen it only a couple times in Tonka, but these people are truly hero's for doing this under those circumstances and the risk. So I will be on the other end of the move with treats, doggie beds, tons of squeakers and air hugs. ? finding this out tonight made me so much calmer. I've had nightmares about little baby Tonka and his move. I'm so grateful that he came into my life and that I have the support I have from this little community of Tonka lovers, and from people like Caitlin who's heart is clearly as big as the sun.
