1914 in Corpus Christi, Texas with a bottle of whisky and an afternoon smoke - Lula Mae (my grandmas, grandma) and her sister, Minnie Mae. I come from a long line of women with amazing southern names such as Alabama Brown, Lola Chamilla, and Lula's best friend, Lilly Ostilla Mighty Oquilla Sullivan (yes full name) ❤️ They had absolutely nothing and created a lifetime of everything from it. ❤️ From what I hear from my grandma, there hearts were as big as the sun, but they were all firecracker women and not to be messed with. Some of my grandmothers favorite tales of Lula are her chasing people off the front lawn with a shotgun and a one liner "I'll see you later if the devil has no objections."
