Last week, our team, along with @righttoplayintl and @torontofc Sport Development Coaches, had the great honour of leading soccer clinics for children and youth in Sheguiandah First Nation on Manitoulin Island. The Sport for Development trip was a tremendous success with all community participants, young and old, uniting through the power of sport! ⚽️? #PowerOfPlay

Since March 2013, MLSE and our team have pledged $2 million dollars to Right To Play’s “Promoting Life-skills in Aboriginal Youth” (PLAY) program. The PLAY program partners with more than 85 First Nations communities and urban Aboriginal organizations across Canada to deliver safe, fun and educational programming for Aboriginal children and youth. Each uniquely tailored play-based program is designed to enhance educational outcomes, improve peer-to-peer relationships, increase employability and improve physical and mental health amongst Aboriginal children and youth.
