Congratulations to February’s @citizenwatchcanada Community MVP winner, Quinton Lindsay. Quinton has been leading the Leafs’ Hockey in the Neighbourhood Program for the past nine years. Through the program, Quinton helps provide access and opportunities to children from diverse cultural backgrounds to the game of hockey. He is passionate about the sport and acts as a role model to all children in his programs.
This month, the Leafs are also celebrating the NHL’s inaugural Black History Month to recognize the achievements and contributions of black athletes in hockey. We are honoured to have Val James, the first American-born black player to play in the NHL and first black player to play for the Maple Leafs, present Quinton with this award.
