As part of our team’s longstanding partnership with Toronto’s First Responders, the Leafs would like to recognize Denise Hynes, a public educator for @torontofireservices, and the @citizenwatchcanada Community MVP for March.
Denise exemplifies passion and enthusiasm in her role, and goes above and beyond to teach safety to our community. Last year, Denise was awarded the National Fire Protection Association Educator of the Year and donated a portion of her award to Camp BUCKO to help children with burn injuries. She has worked hard to develop programs aimed at senior citizens, Syrian refugees in Canada and young adults with disabilities. Thank you for your commitment to the community, Denise!
