We are saddened with the news of the passing of Andy Mastoris, a 55-year veteran of the Maple Leafs organization who kindly greeted fans at both Maple Leaf Gardens and Scotiabank Arena. Andy’s first day on the job saw the Beatles play the Gardens and his last Leafs game was on March 13th versus the Chicago Blackhawks.
People will remember Andy’s warm and enthusiastic smile that made every person who entered our arena feel special. Andy’s welcome was so appreciated that many of our fans went out of their way just to enter at his gate. The club passes on its condolences to Andy’s family and friends. Rest in peace, and thank you, Andy.
