this is the book that touches my heart and builds memories between Lillian and me. Ross brought it home for us and now she brings it to me to read to her - sometimes at night but mostly in the morning. she sits on my lap, I read and we turn the pages and absorb this most beautiful illustrated story of Louise Bourgeois. when we reach the illustration where Louise is hand sewing tapestries, Lillian points to the picture and says 'mama'. How does she know that my heart lies with hand stitching even though she's never seen me sew? When I was Lillian's age, my favorite thing was a little bag of fabric squares that my mom collected for me. I've sewn since I was little, all through my life and when Lillian was in my belly. She was born with the knowingness, before even understanding what that means.
I deeply recommend this beautiful book ?
