In the U.S. today there are 36 million adults who can only read at the level of a third grader. Forty-three percent of adults facing this issue live in extreme poverty, and low literacy limits opportunities that many of us take for granted. This week, Sevenly is teaming up with Little Free Library, a nonprofit combatting illiteracy by increasing access to local, free books. They place free micro libraries in neighborhoods around the US and the world, targeting neighborhoods with low literacy rates, so that everyone can experience the joy of reading.
