Autism is a developmental disorder that now impacts 1 in every 68 children in the U.S. Autism often affects a child’s social skills, limiting their ability to communicate with their family, express their emotions, or interact at school. Many children with autism are highly intelligent, but struggle to form connections and communicate in ways that many of us take for granted. This week, Sevenly is partnering with Kulture City, a nonprofit that aims to make life vibrant and enjoyable for people with autism and their families by distributing small comforts such as weighted blankets and educational materials for parents, funding the only special needs orphanage in Uganda, and providing many other services in between.
