If you've ever sat for a moment at one of Mr Stash's tables, you know that you can peer down into the soul of the tree and that's no exaggeration. It is the best way I can find to describe the way in which his work captures and holds the beauty of a dying wood. Mr Stash was recently featured on @QuietRev by @Chookooloonks (quietrev.com) He builds furniture from trees he reclaims while building Texas bridges and highways His work can be found throughout our space at @westaveriveroaks as most of our fixtures we designed and he built from an 80 ft cottonwood tree that had to be removed when a bridge required repair His work is meticulous and requires long hours with a hand-plane and epoxy You can eat at one of his tables at @lonesomedoveaustin in the wine room And we plan to use some of his wood for our expanded space at @MarburgerFarm this fall #webuildwhatwesell #wood
