The start of what proved to be one of the most productive days river fishing I have had in NZ. The dry fly action was just sensational. We used a fairly standard/generic #14 Royal Wulff for the most part, but man did those Rainbows devour them in a hurry. Perhaps we just timed it right but 60 takes for the day certainly exceeded all expectation. We were spoiled.
