Can you spot him?? We always joke when we spot a fish as the next line tends to be 'see that rock, it's next to that, or see that stick, he's just sitting on the edge of it'. To the person who hasn't seen the fish this information is so vague that it means nothing. The whole river is often full of rocks or sticks. That's where additional detail comes in the equation. 'See that large orange coloured branch on the far side that is barely above the water, he's 6 inches to the right...etc'. Spotting trout is without doubt one of the most important skills when fishing in NZ, and it takes practice. Can you confidently point out the fish in this image, and how would you describe its position to someone who has no idea where it is? It can be harder than you think... #spotthatfish #canyouseeme #whereswaldo #sightfishing #scottflyrods #lowlandstream #flyfishing #flyfishingporn #flyfishingaddict #trout #troutbum #l4l #love #instagood #troutfishing #browntrout #fishing #seewhatsoutthere #keepemwet #flugfiske #fluefiske #swiftflyfishing #manictackleproject #sageflyfish #looptackle #dryordie #trophytrout
