I have this Buck knife that my father gave me when I shot my first deer. The picture you have in your mind is probably accurate, 4 inch folding blade, wood handle with gold edges. I've had it for 15 years probably. I love that knife. It's stood the test of time and faced any task I've thrown at it. I'm anxious to give it to one of my kids.
Gears not always just "gear." It's not always disposable or replaceable. It becomes extensions of who we are are. Some pieces say a lot about who we are.
