After encountering both this past month (brownie-lost, have you seen him? Charlie- found and living on top of my fridge), I'm realizing while as a kid who found dogs on the street I'd just call the number on their collar, as an adult in nyc I have no real clue what the best ways are to get them back to their families. With millions of homeless animals put to sleep in US shelters each year, I don't want any who already *have* homes to not find them. ?
